New Orleans Chapter Election Calendar & Procedures

The Nominations Committee, a committee of the chapter that provides for the board’s effectiveness and continuing development was formed in August 2020. The Immediate Past President shall serve as the chair of this committee and may choose to have up to three addition committee members. The Nominating Committee is a required best practice to ensure that candidate qualifications are reviewed and that there is transparency and consistency in the Chapter Elections process. Each member of the Nominations Committee must agree to abide by the Code of Ethics, Confidentiality and Conflicts of Interest Policy of the New Orleans Chapter.

Thursday, April 1, 2021 

Nominations open. Committee sends election packet email to all members (except students).

• Basic Volunteer Responsibilities for Chapter Leadership Positions and Nominations/Application Form. 

Thursday, April 15, 2021 

Nominations close. Completed and signed Intent to Run forms from all candidates are turned into the Nominations Committee Chair. Nominating Committee verifies that the nominees are current members in good standing.  

Monday, April 19, 2021 

Nominations announced with all candidate information. 

Meet the Candidates: Candidates will have the opportunity to address the membership with a video or written statement.

Friday, April 30, 2021   Chapter Election; results announced. 

Wednesday, May 5, 2021 New NACE Chapter Officers take office at May Mixer
