Christian Crocker
For Director of Fundraising and Community Service
In joining the leadership team, I will be able to strengthen and nurture my current relationships within the New Orleans community, while making new connections. Our chapter has a strong leadership team and feel I could learn and grow, while also making my own contributions, if elected.
I see NACE New Orleans as a major player in our industry's recovery from the pandemic. We will educate members on the new normal, while serving the New Orleans community. Fundraising and community service will be key, as is membership retention.
Biography
I grew up in Canton Mississippi, visited New Orleans regularly. After attending the University of Mississippi (HOTTY TODDY and GoRebs), I made the move to New Orleans. My career began at the Royal Sonesta Hotel, as a front desk agent and Arnaud's restaurant as a hostess. These were fun times! From 2003 until 2009, I worked at Emeril's Homebase, working hand in hand with thirteen restaurants to resolve customer service issues. From there, I worked at Windsor Court Hotel as a Catering Sales and Conference Services Manager. I joined the Omni Riverfront in 2014 as a Group Sales Manager for two and a half years. I then worked in Metairie for Al Copeland Investments, and as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Sheraton Metairie. In 2018, I joined HRI Lodging and now serve as Area Sales Manager for the Hyatt Centric French Quarter and Eliza Jane hotels, overseeing the SMERF market. I am proud to have worked my way up and feel my experience in both restaurants and hotels gives me a unique perspective.
